I purchased a P-0328 Affinity Digital Cable Combiner, however it only came with one remote and one IR receiver. Is it possible to purchase extra remotes and IR receivers separately?

Asked By – On June 30, 2014 – With Comments Off

Yes you can purchase the extra 7 A0511 remotes which will allow you to switch back and forth between modulation, and cable. You can also purchase the extra IR-4101 receivers which will allow the signal from the remote to route to the P-0328 and switch between cable/modulation. You would need 7 of each to utilize ...

I just purchased a WA-321 and a WA-360, have not been able to get the PWR/LNK LED to turn orange. On the 321 both dip switches are set to 1 & 2 pins. Are these two not compatible or am I doing something wrong?

Asked By – On June 12, 2014 – With Comments Off

The WA-321 is not compatible with the WA-360. If you are simply attempting to do single point-to-point audio, you need to replace your WA-321 with a WA-320. The WA-320 and WA-360 are designed to be used together. If you are attempting to do a point-to-many or multiple areas, you will need to replace the WA-360 ...

I just purchased a condo that came with the cc-272. I’m interested in using it, but need some instructions. Where can I find some? Particularly, I see where I plug in my speakers to the wall plate, but I do not see how I hook up a source.

Asked By – On June 09, 2014 – With Comments Off

The CC-272 is a wall insert that essentially allows an access point between your 7.1/7.2 A/V Receiver and the speaker wiring. The common application is to have each of your speaker wires ran from the speaker location, through the wall, and then attaching to the back of the CC-272 (allowing you to basically hide your ...

Can your wall mount secure the iPod Touch from theft? We want to send music to four Sonos speakers via WiFi, we have a WiFi network in the art gallery, but no music. What equipment would we need?

Asked By – On June 09, 2014 – With Comments Off

Officially Channel Vision does not manufacture any type of WiFi adaptor. However, based on our knowledge of Sonos, we believe it should have a composite audio input. If it does, you can use the A0316 iPod docking station which will give you a composite audio out (Red/White). This should allow you to transfer the audio ...

I have already purchased the A-BUS iPhone dock which is good. However is there an adaptor to allow this to work on the iPhone 5 now? The new connector is a lightning connector rather than the old one on the iPhone, can you please send me the details if so (SKU/product number and some recommended UK retailers/suppliers for this adaptor).

Asked By – On June 09, 2014 – With Comments Off

There is an adaptor, however Channel Vision would only officially suggest purchasing the 30-pin to 5-pin Lightning adaptor directly from Apple. Unfortunately there are a lot of unofficial copies of this adaptor, some of which may not work properly. You can visit the Apple store online to locate this adaptor, again it would be the ...

I have a control 4 system and was wondering if I had to use the IR2400 with the A0350? Or, could I hook up a mono cable to the IR input from my controller provided by control 4? The controller that would be attempting to send IR commands over a a mono cable is a HC200.

Asked By – On May 20, 2014 – With Comments Off

Theoretically this might work, however it has never been directly tested, so no official answer can be given. The A0350 was designed to take IR commands from the A0505 Channel Vision remote control. Essentially you would be using the Control4 HC200 controller as an IR repeater. So, again theoretically, if the Control4 controller has the ...

Is the TE-111 ok to use on phone line with U-Verse DSL?

Asked By – On May 19, 2014 – With Comments Off

AT&T U-Verse is more of a hybrid IP phone service, therefore it has been successfully integrated with the Channel Vision telephone entry controllers. As long as the system uses normal phone cables, and the proper phone voltage is supplied on the incoming line it will be compatible. There are “true” IP phone services that will strictly use ...

Can components of the A-BUS system be used with the Crescendo system? For example, being able to use an AB-134 amplified volume control in one room while using the A0127 volume control to control the aria in wall amp in another room all from the P-2044?

Asked By – On May 19, 2014 – With Comments Off

No you can not use an AB-134 in a Crescendo system. They are designed differently and run on different voltages. Since the keypads draw their power from the hub, this difference in voltage causes instability and could damage components in the system.  We do not recommend attempting to integrate the two product lines together since it may damage your ...

Yes, first you will want to update your firmware. Next you will have to follow a very specific process to make sure the time change takes in the system and does not corrupt your time tables.
